"Fit is it"
Get your children active by signing them up in a Skate Canada national skating program. The programs are both fun and physical and will keep children healthy and active while they grow. Let your kids learn a skill they can use for life!

Canskate: (click)
This program is the learn-to-skate program for beginners of all ages. Participants earn badges while they learn fundamental skating skills. Participants are taught in a group lesson format of no more than 10 skaters per group with emphasis on fun and continuous movement. The program is administered by an NCCP certified Skate Canada Professional Coach, along with carefully trained Program Assistants (Test or Competitive Program skaters). CanSkate is the feeder program to all other Skate Canada Skating Programs. A skater does not have to complete all 7 stages before progressing on to the GroupSkate or StarSkate programs. CanSkate runs 2 days per week for 45 minutes per day. Mondays and Fridays from 5:15 - 6:00 p.m. Skaters have the option to register for once a week.. Helmets are mandatory. Children will not be permitted on the ice without one.

GroupSkate: (click)
Skaters may choose this program if they wish to continue through the CanSkate levels while focusing more on Figure Skating Skills. We prefer that the skater has passed a minimum of the Stage 4 badge in the CanSkate program. Skaters receive group lessons from an NCCP certified coach with carefully trained Program Assistants (Test or Competitive Program skaters). Semi-private and private lessons may also be upon coach availability. This program is used as a "bridge" between CanSkate and StarSkate. GroupSkate runs 2 days per week for 1 hour per day. Mondays and Fridays from 4:15 - 5:15 p.m.

PreCanPower: (click)
Provides an alternative to figure skating for skaters aged approximately six or older who already have basic forward and backward skating skills and are ale to stop on command without use of the boards. This program will be offered with a minimum of eight skaters on Monday's only from 5:15 - 6:00.
